ARTS EDUCATION

RiverPark Center's mission places an emphasis on arts in education, and to fulfill this mission RiverPark presents many diverse programs that bring memorable arts experiences to students of all ages.
Every year, an average of 32,000 students from approximately 115 different schools in 25 tri-state counties attend professional touring company presentations designed for every grade level from Pre-Kindergarten through grade 12. This is part of the ARTS TEACH KIDS (ATK) series.
Arts in the A.M. is a half-day interactive integration arts experience for students grades 3 through 12. Students are active in multiple arts disciplines including visual arts, music, dance, theatre, and a backstage tour. As the workshops run for three hours, students receive a fun-filled and educational experience with hands-on activities.
For the secondary and post-secondary students, RiverPark has developed a unique role in a joint collegiate Theatre Arts Degree program and with the Community Campus of Greater Owensboro. RiverPark’s participation creates an innovative and unique arena for students to attain interactive theatre experience and be able to earn school credit hours with that experience.
